FOUNDER's STORY
Hues Kafe was started in 2025 by me, Sameer Shaikh, an Indian Artist & designer who moved to Prague in 2021 as a student. I was 26 when I opened this café, and it all began with a simple dream: to create a calm, creative space where people could enjoy good chai, light food, and real connection.
I didn’t come from a hospitality background. I wasn’t backed by big investors. What I had was a clear vision, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for design, food, and community. Over four years, I worked hard, learned fast, and slowly built Hues Kafe from the ground up.
A Space for Local Artists and Creative Souls
HueS Kafe is more than just chai and coffee. we’re also a space for local artists in Prague.
Every month, we feature the work of one emerging or independent artist on our café walls. It’s a chance to exhibit your art in Old Town Prague, connect with new people, and be part of a growing creative community.
